Cyclonic separation can eliminate particulates, such as dirt and dust, from a stream of air, gas or liquid. Engineers sometimes call these tornadic dust busters centrifugal separators. That's because at the root of these machines is something called centrifugal force.

A high speed rotating (air)flow is established within a cylindrical or conical container called a cyclone. Air flows in a spiral pattern, beginning at the top (wide end) of the cyclone and ending at the bottom (narrow) end before exiting the cyclone in a straight stream through the center of the cyclone and out the top.
Larger (denser) particles in the rotating stream have too much inertia to follow the tight curve of the stream and strike the outside wall, falling then to the bottom of the cyclone where they can be removed.

Structure

Cyclone separator adopts vertical cylinder structure. The inner part is divided into liquid collecting area, cyclone separation area, purification room area and other internal cyclone components, which are uniformly arranged in the circumference direction and fixed by upper and lower tube plates.The equipment adopts skirt support, and the head adopts high-pressure resistance elliptical head. The pipe mouth of the equipment provides matched flange bolt gaskets, etc. Usually, the gas inlet design is divided into three forms:A) upper central air inlet air intake b) c) lower intake for moisture, we often use the lower intake scheme, because the lower intake can take advantage of the lower space equipment, for > = 300 microns in diameter, or 500 mu m droplets for preliminary separation to reduce the load of a whirlwind part for dry gas often use central air intake or upper intake upper intake distribution uniformity, but the device diameter and height will increase, the investment is higher;The central intake can reduce the height and cost of the equipment
